Crane..

So here you can see our crane work. It went quite smoothly. When you have the proper tools life is easier. The beams are too heavy to manage by hand, they weigh around 600 lbs (270kg) for the heaviest. Probably six people can manage something this large but they would likely cost more then the crane for an hour or two.

The U shaped beam holders worked well. The beams needed a little encouragement to be installed. Sometimes with a sledge hammer and sometimes with a little hand planing. All in all, it went rather smooth. The operator stands beside us with a rope to manage the swinging of the beam. He has a nice remote control to deal with the whole show. Our first placement of the back 35 foot (10.6 meters) beam.
