So we have secured our first post. The work went relatively fast. The one hiccup we hit was that the steel base plate did not allow the screw bottom to pass through it because its wider then the hole. No issue, we just place the screws in ahead of time and then lift the post on top of them. It takes a sledge hammer to push the screw into the concrete because the 5/8 inch (15.76mm) drill is a little smaller then the tip of the anchor. The thread is of course 5/8 inch.
First hole.
Our trusty makita hammer drill, lost my depth gauge somewhere in the rocks so I had to make do with a ribbon. (ordered a new depth gauge)
Screws hammered in but not tightened yet. Even so, they can't remove them anymore.
