We continued work today on the front of the house soffit area. Its totally done now and we're thrilled about that. Tomorrow we will start installing the sliding door.
The day was disrupted with the tsunami event. People last night were lining up for gasoline, sirens were going, etc. Today the bank opened late, the garbage dump was closed, etc. Our work continued however since we're off grid and these disruptions don't really affect us.
The good news is that now that the county has inspected our temporary permanent pole (took them over three weeks to come out) and helco (the local electric company) is not on strike anymore as if this evening then maybe by the middle of year 2030 we should have power out here. It's my fault for leaving this for this long as we should have started the process much earlier. They could be a little faster I have to say however.
