Sliding door installation..

It took us most of the day to install the sliding door. The next one we install from Fleetwood would only take about an hour at most. One simple thing in the manual threw us off track (pun intended). It said "assemble frame". We didn't pay much attention to this detail. They actually wanted us to assemble the frame and put the whole thing in place. We started out with the thinking that they wanted the frame to be bolted to the trimmer's first. Anyhow, after figuring out that this didn't make any sense and would make for a difficult installation we discovered that the frame needed to be bolted together and then put in place like that. I need to move our temporary outside first up tent to take better pictures, however the end result is very good. We were perfectly plumb, square, level and to the exact size we needed. With some minor shims we were able to finish off the screwing nicely. The door is very nice. Its engineered very well and found mainly in million dollar homes. The track and door latching hardware is completely stainless steel. The rollers are also stainless steel and are made in Switzerland. The moving door which probably weighs about 100 lbs can be moved by a small child and once pushed a little it slides completely open with no effort. The model we choose was the Fleetwood Norwood 3000.
