Steel beam support..

To add more support to our long front beam our engineered required us to install another piece of overlapping steel. This will make the beam react in more of a continuous fashion if shaken by an earthquake for example. The bolts were staggered so that the various sections of the glue lam beam were penetrated. This add's further strength to the whole thing. You can see a close up picture below.
