Testing our pipes..

So here in Hawaii as I mentioned before they test the drainage / sewage pipes before it can pass inspections. So here we are filling the pipes with water to test for leaks. We also mounted the Rinnai tankless water heater as well. Its not hooked up or anything yet. The good news is that the plumbing inspector will be coming on Monday to inspect our work. Once it has passed, we will install our * real * toilet instead of the Sears Porti-Potti we we're lent from our plumber. The unit actually works very well, and we dump the contents into our septic tank.

The first test we did for the leak test failed. Our plumber and us forgot to glue one of the joints. No worries, we re-glued and did another test. Again it failed, however this time it was dripping from our geberit drain. So we had to use another blow up balloon to stop that drain and try again. The third time it worked fine with no leaks. Our gas line test also had no air leaks and is holding pressure at 30 psi (2 bar) nicely. The hot and cold water line is also holding 60 psi (4.1 bar) very nicely now.
