Bathroom walls...

So today was spent stripping more stuff out of the tank. Very few things scare me I have to say. However when I saw a large (3 inch) black cockroach having sex with another (3 inch) white cockroach, I said this is too much. Next time I go down there to work i'm going to gas / fog the whole place the day before which will kill off all insects and roaches. Oddly enough, I never see them out and about the property, but they are enjoying our concrete tank. Eventually when its filled with water and cave fish, and all real holes plugged, this will not be an issue.

The rest of the day was spent building our bathroom walls. The rain was rather heavy today as you can see from the video below, as it was on and off every half an hour. It doesn't bother as much anymore, because we have a roof over our head to keep us relatively dry. The plants are happy also. There was some kind of drought like conditions here before we came, so I guess this is good for the plants.

We built the final outside round section of the wall, and almost finished the hallway section of wall also. The Irwin Plumb Bob tool is essential for figuring out where the floor wall piece will align to the ceiling. This is what i'm showing in the first picture below.

How we use the Irwin Plumb Bob to figure out what we put on the ceiling matches the floor.

We usually place scrap pieces of 2x6 material to show our selves the proper layout of windows, they can be complex with jack studs, king studs, etc.

Almost finished outside bathroom wall, we just need to finish framing the window when we decide on the size. The window will be inside the shower stall.

This is an outside wall with tank access on one side, and also the hallway on the other side. We took a 2x12 peice of material to make this curve. It complex, because it starts off as a 2x6 wall first then when we reach the inside bathroom wall, we convert to 2x4 to save space.
