Fill and level..

So our excavator was working long and hard yesterday. He finished almost all he wanted to do and will finish off today. You can see from the shots that the plumbing line has been installed with a provision for kitchen drain as well as our bathroom drain also.

The other shots show how much fill was required to be brought in. We had about 6 trucks so far of it brought in to fill up the huge void around the house. The dirt we excavated from here was mainly used to fill the area under the second future house.

First pipe on the left will be for the kitchen and second in the distance is meant for a clean out.

Eventually we will connect the bathroom here.

This area has been filled almost finally. The large deck will be out here and that will have some soil brought out around its edge to bring that up to grade. Underneath the deck the space doesn't matter and more allows for better ventilation. Minimum code calls for 6 inches under a slat style deck.

This is pretty much done as well. We will bring in another 5 inches of soil to cover this eventually when we are ready for grass and plants in this area.

The whole front needs to be filled still.
