Rim board sandwich material..

Here we are making the 2x4 material which will eventually hold our rim board. They will eventually hold our rim board up tight against the edge of the flange / roof joist.

Setup a nice cutting template. Some clamps hold our scrap in place and then you just butt the piece you want against it. Always the same size, always perfect.

Sandwich material in place. We glue and nail in 4 places the material. Two on each side.

We use a clamp to keep the sandwich in place while I nail it with 3 3/8 inch nails.
