Living room window wall..

We continued the living room window wall yesterday. This section of wall will not be load bearing. So, our engineer said that three 2x6's glued and screwed together would be plenty support for the upper window support. We used special 6 inch and 10 inch screws to hold the whole thing together. We also completed the little section of wall to the left of the steel column. Our engineer wanted us to build a wall here for added support. We agree with him and have also turned the corner and will build a wall coming back toward the sliding door also.

I am working on trying to get the sliding door in a timely matter. However lead times are an issue so far. The door will be from Fleetwood. It will be the Norwood 3000 or Fleetwood 1000 model.
