Cutting our circles in the roof..

Here we are finally cutting our circles in the roof. I am including the 3D image for reference here so you can get an idea of what we are doing. This is strictly a design feature. The tree will be forward of this circle so its growth doesn't ever interfere with the house. Our gardener said that you don't want anything too close to the roof because animals can climb up and jump on your roof, etc. So as long as we have 1m / 3ft clearance thats fine.

The process here was simple. Draw some nice half circles and use a jigsaw to cut them out. New sandwich material needed to be placed on the cutoff sections so when we place our curved plywood it will be have a good surface to screw to. We will buy some 1/4 inch (6.3mm) plywood to finish this area off.

Cut off, with no sandwich material yet.

Curve done with sandwich. We will add two 1/4 inch plywood here when we buy it.
