Today it rained on and off so we took advantage of this by doing inside work. We started nailing to the inside of our house our 1 inch (2.54cm) rigid foam insulation. This material is rated as R-6 after 15 years, initially it is R-7. We measure each stud, use the festool to cut to size and then nail it in place using a special nail with a large plastic washer on it. We did about 80% of the house in two hours. We will go back and fill in the top sections which are above 8 feet as you can see from the pictures.
To truly make it a sealed house, we will use spray foam all around the edges. We're not much concerned about cold air coming in of course, since that doesn't really exist here. Its more about keep the moist air outside and will help truly hold the insulation in place.
